Some frequently asked questions & things you need to know.
How do I enquire/book?
for a chat about what you would like.
I have a voucher; what do I do?
Great! Vouchers are treated exactly the same as a regular session (you just pay a little less!) so, call, email or text me to schedule in a time to chat about what kind of session you want and we can book your complimentary consultation.
What areas do you cover?
I'm based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire (UK) and cover most of South Bucks and the Chilterns.
What happens after I enquire?
We'll set up a complimentary consultation session, where we'll have the chance to discuss what you're looking for from your experience as well as go over things like pricing and timings. We'll also usually take the opportunity to book the photoshoot session itself!
I'm a 'travelling photographer' so all my sessions are on location - usually at your home. So you don't even have to leave the house to have your gorgeous portrait experience!
What happens during the photoshoot?
The morning of your photoshoot is the perfect time to get your hair and make up done, either at home or your favourite salon. (Children and men will differ!) For this reason, I schedule my sessions on a weekend, either mid-morning or mid-afternoon. You'll have at least 2 outfit/background changes and the session itself should last no longer than 2 hours.
Once complete, we'll book your Private Ordering session for around 3 weeks' time.
What's a Private Ordering session?
This is the exciting bit where you get to see all your beautiful images, artworked and complete for the first time. You will see 15-20 images from your session.
This is also your chance to order any prints and products you want to display in your home.
What products do you offer?
I offer a range of beautiful fine art products which are all designed to keep your images looking their best for generations. The popular Folio Box will hold up to 20 images in a hand finished keep sake box while, other products like hand-stretched canvases and bespoke frames will show off your artwork wherever you decide to display it.
Take a look at the sessions page for more info, or book your complimentary consultation where you can have a look at all the products I offer in person.
Please note, products are sold separately to your session fee.
Can you photograph my child?
Of course! I photograph children from when they can sit by themselves. This is usually around 6-12 months, but will differ from child to child. I am not specialised in newborn photography and so, unfortunately, do not photograph children and babies unless they are able to sit by themselves. If you're looking for a newborn photographer though, I can definitely recommened amazing photographers who specialise in just that!
Can I bring my mobile phone/tablet to the session?
By all means, keep your mobiles/tablets around just in case you need to be contacted, but please do not take any images or recordings while your session is taking place. This can be very distracting to any photographer and will take away from the special moment you get to see your beautiful images for the first time during your Private Ordering Session!
What about having other family members/friends around?
Your photoshoot should be as unique and amazing as you are so, if you would like a few family members/friends to share the experience with then please bring them along. Please note though, that any other people around during your session must also adhere to the no pictures or filming rule while the session is taking place.
If you want to book a family or group photoshoot session, please get in touch to book your complimentary consultation!
Are you green?
Wherever possible, I try to use products and materials that are recycled, reusable, biodegradable and eco-friendly.
I also endeavour to buy British made products to support our small businesses and lower my carbon footprint!
Do I get the digital files of my images?
Yes, you will recieve all the digital files of the prints you purchase in web and 7x10" formats.
Can I just buy the digital files?
My work is print based for a number of reasons. Digital files are very easily corruptable and will often spend most of their lives sitting in a drawer not being seen. I believe that photographs are meant to be looked at and enjoyed. For these reasons, it is my policy that I sell physical prints and release the digital files, at no extra cost, of the printed images you purchase.
