Portrait: Grace

Grace's mum contacted me in November in response to a Model Call I was running, wanting some images of her little girl.

Mum, Rebecca, wanted images that reflected the blonde haired, blue eyed ball of energy that Grace is at 4 years old and I was so excited to take Grace's portrait!

I met Grace and her parents, for coffee in Old Amersham, a week later so we could discuss the shoot, the products I offer and more importantly - outifts! We chatted about ballet, sparkly dresses and nail varnish - what more could a girl want?

Arriving at the shoot location, I set up, while Grace got ready for her photoshoot. She was the perfect little model! Mum bought amazing outfits which look great on the backgrounds I use and Grace was so much fun to work with!

She showed me some ballet moves and even got into character as a soldier and a crocodile(!!), while I snapped away! Oscar winner in the making, I think!

We had Grace's reveal and ordering session last week and Grace's family invested in a beautiful 12 image Folio Box; something they'll be able to look back on in years to come and see the gorgeous, cheeky little 4 year old that Grace was!

I'm honestly so honoured to have been chosen to take Grace's portraits. Grace will look back on these images at 21...30...50 years old and be able to pass these on to HER children! A portrait is not just the click of a shutter and some ink on a piece of paper. It is the past...and the present...and the future.

When was the last time you had YOUR portrait taken?

Here are some of my faves!
